After having tried to create my own book covers, I decided to search for a professional designer. My search brought me to David at Brightling Spur and I haven’t looked back. He has created 8 of my covers for me now and I couldn’t be happier. He is so easy to work with because he listens well to what I want and comes up with a concept very quickly. Over the last decade or so, Brightling Spur covers decorate seven of my published works, which range from short flash fiction to full length novels.
David Bowman heads up the Brightling Spur effort. I have found him easy to work with and sensitive to my vision of what each cover should show readers.
He is technically competent and full of imaginative, cost effective solutions to my cover needs, whether they be e-books, print books in both hard and soft cover formats, or all of these.
I have several writing projects in process, and when it comes time for cover design, I will be looking again to David and Brightling Spur for support.

Bridy McAvoy
As an uber-prolific writer, I needed a book cover artist I could work with long term. With over a hundred short stories, novels, series, trilogies and collections out there as e-books, I needed a cover solution that was cost-effective as well as professional and creative. That’s what I found when my first publisher introduced me to Brightling Spur. I have changed publisher since, and I took my cover artist with me. I have never looked at using another cover artist since.
